Entrepreneurial learning - entrepreneurship education

Objectives

The project was a response to the current needs of young people, aged 18-25, entering the labor market. They were facing the difficulties of getting their first job, identified based on a study conducted by LEVEL UP entitled “Entrepreneur as a career path”. Also, information about unemployment rates in this age group, in countries like Spain and Greece show the scale of the problem (27% and 22% in 2023). In the majority of countries that took part in the project formal education did not prepare them for this career path. Young people lack business skills, soft skills, and self-confidence that are key to becoming a successful business owner or entrepreneur. For this reason, the main goal of the project was to help 24 young people from 6 countries discover and learn the world of entrepreneurial life, which can protect them from unemployment and give them an opportunity to a better future. The sub-goals were also: to understand the risks, challenges, but also benefits and opportunities of being an entrepreneur, to encourage young people to consider entrepreneurship as one of the employment options, to gain useful knowledge about the foreign labor market, to introduce the common good economy and sustainable business, to offer a space for intercultural integration, promoting a culture of dialogue, tolerance and greater understanding, to promote youth mobility at European level, to offer the opportunity to implement communication in a foreign language (English).
