The theme of the project "Melody of our life" is music and its impact on our everyday life, but also on history, art ,national and European identity. During the project, we will talk about the history of music, how it has changed over the years, but also about its importance in culture, history and identity. We will discuss the topic of music as an international language, how it affects people and how it shapes cultural identity. The main goal of the project is to make young people aware of how seemingly trivial things that surround us every day play a huge role in shaping culture and ourselves. We want to pay special attention to how much of the culture is occupied by music and what emotions it evokes - sadness, joy, motivation, nostalgia - and how easily these states can be changed depending on the melody. Music has played a huge role in social life for centuries, and today it surrounds us every day, from almost every side. According to research, only about 3-5% of the healthy population do not experience feelings in response to any type of music, which means that we can truly consider music as an international language - not only verbal, but also emotional. Why is it so important? Why does it affect our everyday life so much? During the project, we will get to know the songs that have gone down in the history of the partner countries and find out why. This applies to both songs with positive notes and negative ones (sad, difficult) - because there are undoubtedly melodies that touch everyone's heart. This often happens at important life / historical / cultural moments. Music brings relief to both the artists and the audience. Music ignites hearts, despite the grey reality. We will 'take' the songs apart and try to understand exactly the meaning of the words - the participants in the national groups will present it to the rest. Cultivating the musical culture of our countries is of the utmost importance as it is part of our identity. During the course, we will also discuss the topic of the culturally most important piece of each country - the national anthem. We will talk about what the anthem is and why each country has its own. We will also discuss the meaning of the European Union anthem. We will consider why, next to the flag, it is the melody that gives the identity. Music is a great way to vent your emotions - positive and negative. Many music makers base it on their own experiences, and we, the audience, adjust it to our own mood, depending on the mood. Music is very often motivating, but also often depressing. In sadness, it is easier to listen to sad songs, which, on the one hand, do not improve our mood, but on the other hand, often allow us to understand what we feel, and additionally we realize that we are not alone in it - which in the end improves our condition. In joy, it makes us get even more endorphins. During the exercises, it adds "Power" to us. Music often introduces us to a different world and inspires us - e.g. to write an entire project about it. During the project, we will talk about the importance of music for us. We will talk about how music connects and unites people. The participants will talk about where they are most often accompanied by music and what it means for them. We will define and compare the genres of music. We will look for a neutral musical ground and check if there are songs that everyone likes or not. We will also divide into national groups and present the presentations of "What are we listening to in our country" - that is, each group will prepare presentations of the most popular songs in their country. They will also prepare an English translation of the text so that everyone can understand the meaning. The issues we want to discuss are: 1. Music as cultural and European identity 2. The meaning of the hymn 3. The influence of music on everyday life and history of World and Europe 4. History expressed in music 5. The influence of music on emotions 6. History of music and its diversity 7. Contemporary music in our countries
