Objectives

The main goal was to enable young people to increase their knowledge about the sharing economy. In recent years, this phenomenon has become very popular thanks to online platforms, and according to experts, it will cover more and more fields and will replace previously known models. Platforms based on the sharing economy are one of the fastest growing and most popular projects visible on the Internet, and young people spend time online every day and they are the most visible users of websites such as Airbnb, Vinted, Workaway, etc. The workshops that took place during the project focused primarily on the positive and negative aspects of the above-mentioned. platforms. Participants were asked questions that led them to a comprehensive understanding of the topic: what is the goal of such initiatives? Who are they supposed to serve? How should one behave on such platforms, what information should be shared and what should not be shared? How can actions in the spirit of the sharing economy be undertaken on a smaller, local scale? Our project, during which representatives of several European countries met, allowed young people to exchange experiences, learn about platforms that are used in different regions of Europe and be inspired to implement their own projects using solutions supporting joint consumption. The more users there are, the more efficiently sharing economy platforms operate - which is why we want the principles of their functioning to spread among young people who have the opportunity to co-create them. During the project, our participants gained extensive knowledge about this issue and learned about both its positive and negative sides. Our goal was to teach young people to use such platforms with caution, so that they use them in a safe way for themselves and others. This goal was achieved 100%. During numerous group discussions, participants learned to clearly formulate their observations, comments and arguments, and, if necessary, defend them.
