Through the implementation of the project titled “Sport of equal opportunities,” we wanted to give young people who applied to us for help in applying to the Erasmus+ Program the opportunity to realize a common goal and develop results. Young people who initiated are active sports and socially engaged, especially in the school environment. As a result of their experiences - in school life, private, virtual, noticed that also in the world of sport appears many inequalities and manifestations of discrimination. The Labor and Career Institute Foundation implemented the project because it is convinced that the topic of equal and fair treatment of all people, regardless of gender, origin, religious beliefs or sexual orientation is one of the key social issues. The main aim of the project was to raise social awareness of young people on equality and tolerance, and to develop practical anti-discrimination methods in sports and life. The aim of the project was also a two-pronged approach to the subject of equality - in sport and in everyday life, which made the project very universal, but at the same time a specific character. Competence during the project allowed young people to develop multidimensionally - socially, interpersonally, culturally, digitally and linguistically. The project allowed young people to better understand surround them, acquire more awareness and knowledge, strengthen in themselves attitudes to engage in social life. A strong point of the project was the implementation of workshop activities for children and young people from the Zawiercie district, which allowed young people, including those at risk of social exclusion, to learn the value of sports, living in the spirit of sports. The participants also prepared a multimedia presentation that addressed aspects of sports and its role for mental and physical life. The Internet and social media are a natural environment for young people, so the inclusion of these activities in the project allowed the participants to be more strongly involved, while being able to reach young audiences from many parts of the world. The activities in the schedule allowed young people to develop creativity, ingenuity, out-of-the-box thinking and the ability to work together in an international team.
