In collaboration with our partners, we had made a decision to concentrate on active youth in our vicinity and address their specific needs when shaping the direction of our initiative. Our aim was to provide support to those who were already initiating local societal actions, demonstrating enough motivation to bring some change in local communities, and aspiring to lead and learn for a more extensive influence. We noted that certain projects, particularly youth exchanges, had brief impacts, and many participants failed to disseminate their acquired knowledge. Consequently, we opted to narrow our focus to a more specific target audience – active youth, leaders, and initiators – to more effectively reach the broader group of young people. By equipping leaders to assume their roles more effectively and become inspirational figures for others, they had the potential to bring in more significant societal change. In this project of the mobility for youth workers we came to the objectives that during the 8-months of the project duration participants will: 1. gain knowledge about different methods developing their self-awareness as well as self-awareness of youth who can also be later empowered as future inspiring leaders 2. develop set of skills of self-reflection and understanding themselves better (discovering own core values, needs, connecting with emotions and body, understanding own patterns and finding own strengths) as well as being more aware in relationship with others (communicating better, building meaningful relationships, improving own cooperation with others) and learn to apply them in youth work 3. be more self-aware as well as more confident and motivated to implement methods developing self-awareness in youth work. We chose to emphasize the project's focus on fostering the individual capacities of young people. We held the belief that an awareness of their true identity could afford them the opportunity to develop in their unique directions. By equipping youth workers with a toolkit, they were able to connect more with young individuals actively seeking ways to enhance themselves, aspiring to become inspirational and engaged leaders for their peers. We opted to devise a training program comprising methods that could be subsequently applied by youth workers in their everyday tasks. Throughout the mobility activities, the emphasis lay in enhancing participants' capabilities for self-reflection and a deeper understanding of themselves. Youth workers, having personally experienced the selected methods, were better equipped to implement them later for the benefit of young people.
