The project "Zero - the number of an ecological future" was created in response to the growing need to engage young people in civic life and the debate on climate change. Its aim was to create a space for young people where they could acquire civic, social and communication skills, while developing environmental awareness through contact with decision-makers and experts from various fields. In particular, we wanted to show that it is young people who can and should influence local, national and European policy-making, especially in the context of environmental challenges. The project's objectives were formulated around two key axes: the personal development of participants according to the 3xS principle (self-fulfilment, self-development, self-satisfaction) and civic education in the spirit of the 4xEcoObywatel concept, i.e. in-depth reflection on zero emissions in the areas of urban planning, agriculture and forestry, energy and transport. Through workshops, debates and meetings with experts and decision-makers, participants developed their ability to formulate arguments, resolve conflicts, take social action and build attitudes based on empathy, tolerance and shared responsibility.
