The MasterPeace Global Network has been working with youth from minorities in various regions for many years. Project “TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ME!” will increase our environmental impact; it aims to engage, connect and empower these youth in the Hague Region in the Netherlands and the Katowice Region in Poland. Especially those who feel "tokenized" and are skeptical of institutions such as local government and the European Union. METHODS We invited youth as "co-authors" to adapt our project to their needs. Youth have been invited to co-create and lead the transformation as visible evidence that youth is important and open to being an active citizen. The urgent need to speak and act has never been so universal. We support them during the project so that they grow their self-esteem (I AM), understand that they have more in common with "others" (their peers, but also - during intergenerational dialogues - decision-makers) (WE ARE) and will be trained to running projects in their city; (WE WORK). Local decision makers have committed themselves to invite youth as contributors during and beyond this project NEEDS According to the Report of Regional Policies, these regions have large socio-economic multidimensional problems, characterized by sherp diversity, poverty, debt, radicalization, polarization, growing insecurity, health problems and youth growing up disadvantaged in an environment without social ties. This problem is also often the source of disruptive behavior and crime. Social cohesion is low. Many residents regularly feel unsafe in their own neighborhood and experience great social nuisance. Almost half of the inhabitants find it difficult to make ends meet TARGET GROUP THE MAIN target GROUP are youth in the Hague region and the Katowice region. 10 young people are co-authors of this application, 5 people from each Region. After Erasmus National Agency confirms, we will invite 25 young people from each Region. OTHER TARGET GROUPS PEOPLE WORKING WITH YOUTH “role models” and their organizations, also teachers/schools. We are already linked to our local networks and schools. They are eager to join the project and take part in training. They will help us scale this pilot in their city; DECISION MAKERS and BUSINESS Local level of decision makers in the Regions. They are committed to facilitating the piloting and sustaining the collaborative process with youth, also beyond this project, and strengthening growing networks with the common goal of transforming the city into a "place to be" (Theory of Doughnut Economics calls it a "thriving" city). We will share our experiences and best practices with our GLOBAL PARTNERS. PILOT AND SCALING The project will be scaled at local, regional (European Union) and global levels. We spoke to our local partners (youth workers, teachers, policymakers and business) and they are eager to connect with youth and invite them to contribute to the transformation of their city, during and as part of the continuation of this project WORK The MasterPeace Global Network operates in 15 countries in Europe through licensed local Youth Workers/A non-governmental organizations. We will share and scale the experience and methodologies, and together develop the impact on the environment on a global scale. We cooperate with three prestigious and innovative knowledge networks: 1. www.community-arts.net - using art for social change, such as storytelling, gamification and visualization. 2. www.doughnuteconomics.org - this “Doughnut Economics” uniquely combines social inclusion and environmental challenges in its methodologies; The MasterPeace was asked to create a smaller-scale model to be used by youth in a grassroots approach. This project will be one of the first to pilot this approach 3. www.ubiverse.org - knowledge platform with a similar approach and goals that enables us to strengthen the network. We constantly cooperate. The above-mentioned Partners will share their knowledge and increase the range of our project OBJECTIVES Our MAIN GOAL is to engage, connect and empower youth. Including 3 KEY OBJECTIVES: * transform the city through the voice and actions of youth; with the help of Doughnut Economics theory, a framework for sustainable development, taking into account social and planetary boundaries, emphasizing the environment, climate and social inclusion; * eliminating intercultural, intergenerational and social divisions by connecting youth with decision-makers; * developing European identity, citizenship and values so that youth understand their own values, grow in self-esteem and align their values with those of the European Union. Create sustainable structures favoring the inclusive participation of youth.
