Objectives

The Digital Entrepreneurship and Inclusion Programme was designed to address the growing challenges of social cohesion and inclusion, which have been exacerbated by economic, technological, and urban transformations, as well as the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project aimed to support the integration of young refugees and individuals with temporary protection status by promoting social participation, reducing inequalities, and fostering mutual trust and supportive relationships within communities. Recognizing that social cohesion goes beyond labor market integration, the project sought to create spaces for meaningful interaction between migrants and local communities in various settings such as workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods. The initiative aimed to break down barriers to integration, such as language difficulties, misinformation, and limited access to civil society and volunteer opportunities, while enhancing young people’s knowledge, skills, and competencies for active participation in society. The key objectives of the project were: - Building the capacity of youth workers to enhance their understanding and skills in social inclusion, participation, and diversity, particularly within the context of social cohesion. - Strengthening cooperation among organizations by facilitating the development and management of projects that address local differences and needs. - Establishing a sustainable social cohesion network that operates at an international level, responds to digital transformation needs, and raises awareness through local and national initiatives. - Contributing to policy development by formulating advocacy strategies that address social cohesion challenges and promote long-term systemic solutions. Through these objectives, the project aimed to provide youth workers, NGOs, and stakeholders with the necessary tools and strategies to support social inclusion efforts, create a reliable and sustainable network for digital collaboration, and influence policy development to ensure long-term impact.
