Objectives

The project sought to increase the degree of awareness and identification of bullying and violence for 36 young people through 3 non-formal methods (Role Play, Biblioteca Vie, Cafenea Publica). The theme of the project helped the participants to become aware of the fact that bullying is present in people's lives. The objectives of the exchange were: 1. Increasing the degree of awareness and identification of bullying for 36 participants (+6 leaders) from 5 countries (Romania, Spain, Serbia, Turkey, Portugal) 2. The personal development of 36 young people from 5 countries (Romania, Spain, Serbia, Turkey, Portugal), over a period of 10 days, through 3 main non-formal methods: Role Play, Public Cafe, Living Library . 3. Improving the level of social inclusion by involving 12 young people with limited opportunities (2 young people from each organization) and encouraging empathy, mutual help, non-discrimination, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, teamwork, mutual respect, for young people from 5 countries , for a period of 10 days. The phenomenon of bullying has been studied internationally, but work is still being done to solve this problem. This phenomenon is found mostly among young people. Romania recently has a law against bullying and defines it as: "the action or series of verbal, physical, cybernetic, relational actions, committed repeatedly with intent in a social environment that is difficult to avoid, actions that result in and purpose of harming a person's dignity, intimidating him, humiliating, offending a person or a group of people. This action targets aspects of discrimination and social exclusion, the people who suffer from bullying being disadvantaged people: belonging to another race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, social category, gender, sexual orientation." These actions take place most of the time in educational institutions or spaces intended for education and training. According to the World Health Organization, Romania is in the top 3 countries that suffer from bullying. Among 42 countries where the phenomenon was studied, Romania ranks 3rd with 400,000 students who are threatened with beatings and 220,000 children repeatedly beaten by their peers. According to research, it has been observed that the phenomenon of bullying affects physical and emotional health. Those intimidated in the bullying phenomenon are more likely to have relationship difficulties, to be depressed, anxious, to feel alone and without help, to have suicidal thoughts, to have low self-esteem. Within the project, we pursued social inclusion, equal opportunities. We had participants with limited opportunities precisely to be able to help them integrate, to be part of a group, to have the right to learn through non-formal methods and to have the opportunity to be part of a group in a European framework . In the mobility activities, all the participants got involved, together with the group leaders. They interacted day by day, changed their beliefs and thus were able to help the community they belong to by presenting what they learned within the project. The young people left with a much more developed civic spirit, with the desire for change, with the desire to present to those they know and not only information about the project, about what they have learned.
