Objectives

Through our project, we aimed to raise awareness among young people from five European communities (Romania, Greece, Italy, Croatia and Spain) about the importance of soft skills development for future employability and to help a group of 30 young people from these communities to develop specific soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking), by involving them in a 8-day Youth Exchange. We also meant to encourage the targeted young people to participate in Erasmus+ projects, as well as in other volunteering projects, aiming to improve their soft skills and boost their future employability. As our project addressed the issue of youth unemployment, we focused on the countries that are most affected by it, facing high rates of youth unemployment and a large number of NEETs (people not in education, employment or training). Throughout the project, we focused on achieving the following objectives: O1. Raise awareness of the importance of soft skills development in increasing youth employability, among 30 young people and 5 group leaders coming from 5 European countries (Romania, Greece, Spain, Italy and Croatia), during their participation in the 8-day mobility carried out in the project. O3. Foster the employability of a group of 30 young people coming from the five communities involved in the project, by helping them develop specific soft skills (communication, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking), during the 8-day mobility, with the aid of non-formal education methods. O2. Inform a number of 650 young people from the 5 European countries about the usefulness of participating in Erasmus+ projects for developing soft skills, through social media posts (Facebook/ Instagram) and 5 local events organized by the young participants (each national group will organize one event). Our targets were: 500 people informed through social media, 150 people informed through the local events.
