The EU youth unemployment rate is more than double the overall unemployment rate and masks large differences between countries: there is a gap of more than 30 percentage points between the Member State with the lowest youth unemployment rate and the Member States with the higher rates. Unemployed youth have been called a "lost generation" not only because of lost productivity, but also because of the long-term, direct and indirect impact unemployment has on young people and their families. Thus, the purpose of the "My Future Job" project was to increase the level (ASK) of attitudes, skills and knowledge (how to prepare a CV and a cover letter, how to apply for a job or how to present yourself to the employer, to an interview, etc.) of integration on the labor market, for 36 young people, aged 18-30 under the coordination of 6 group leaders (no age limit) from the 6 participating countries for a period of 9 days. The goal was achieved by fulfilling the specific objectives set, respectively: Specific Objective 1: Increasing the awareness of the 42 participants regarding the importance of the labor market for young people and their role in the formation of the future European society through non-formal education methods, during the project period. OS2. To provide the 42 participants with motivation, information and space to exchange ideas, thoughts and strategies that can lead them to become more productive members of their communities, during the project. OS3. Developing and encouraging solidarity and tolerance among 42 participants, through cultural exchanges and intercultural dialogue, to strengthen social cohesion in Europe during the project period. OS4. Development and maintenance of the strategic partnership signed between the 6 promoters of this project. We also mention the fact that the specific objectives achieved were established in accordance with the E+ objectives, as follows: - supporting young people to acquire skills aimed at their personal development, but also increasing employment opportunities on the labor market. (ex. active.: Europass CV, How do I apply online for a job? Jobs Fair). - increasing employability and improving career prospects for young people. Discussions about how to choose a career and personal experiences will help young people to better choose their next job, thus increasing the chances of building a long-term career. (ex.: Youth on the labor market, Which Career Pathway is right for me? Jobs Fair) - increasing the employability of young people with limited opportunities (especially those with limited financial and NEET opportunities). (eg active Europass CV, How do I apply online for a job? How to prepare myself for an interview). Also, the "My Future Job" project is a success and due to the permanent interaction between young people coming from different countries, cultures, religions, social statuses, due to the implementation activities that managed to make the participants (P) better understand their role in society, not only in the community they come from, but also within Europe. Thus, the project was driven by the basic objective of the E+ program (active involvement of young people) and the E+ objectives (inclusion and diversity) through cultural exchanges, social inclusion and solidarity and promoted the active participation of young people in the labor market both at the national level as well as European. In addition, by coordinating this exchange of young people, we managed to achieve the objective of the Youth Exchanges action: the acquisition of skills and information necessary for their life and professional future. All this could be achieved because the activities were organized in such a way as to facilitate the opening of borders between cultures and the integration of P in the multicultural context of the project. Thus, team work was preferred over individual work, and the teams were always mixed, from the point of view of nationality and gender. Following the process of personal development they went through during the exchange, the young people became receptive to the values and principles of others and became more tolerant towards other cultures, religions and backgrounds.
