Objectives

The project "ALLUSION: inclUSION is not an illUSION - say NO to exclUSION!" aimed at promoting equality, inclusion, and diversity within youth work across Europe. It specifically targeted vulnerable youth in local communities who have limited access to education, healthcare, employment, and civic participation and face challenges such as discrimination and marginalization. The project intended to address the pressing need for youth workers, educators, and trainers to deliver inclusive and quality youth work. The overall objective of the project was to create a more inclusive and diverse environment in organizations and youth work. Based on the general objective, the project aimed to achieve two specific objectives. 1. Develop the competencies of 32 youth workers, educators, and trainers in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion. 2. Equip 32 youth workers, educators and trainers with practical youth inclusion tools and methods to use in their daily work with disadvantaged youth. By achieving these objectives, the project intended to reduce barriers to participation for youth and enhance the quality and accessibility of youth work, ensuring that young people facing discrimination or marginalization have equal opportunities to engage in educational and civic activities. In the end, we hoped that better methods and improved practices among youth workers would spread to more places in Europe, leading to a bigger change in making sure everyone is included.
