The objectives of the project were carefully crafted to address the needs of both youth workers and the young people they support: Improvement of Knowledge: 25 youth workers aimed to enhance their understanding of coaching principles and their application in youth work contexts. This objective focused on deepening their theoretical understanding of coaching methodologies. Skill Enhancement: The project sought to equip 25 youth workers with practical coaching skills. This included acquiring a minimum of four coaching methods: modelling and visualization, the GROW model, the SPACE model, and psychodrama. These methods were chosen for their versatility and effectiveness in engaging with young people. Increased Confidence and Empowerment: The aim was for all 25 youth workers to demonstrate increased confidence in their coaching abilities. Moreover, they were expected to feel empowered to apply these skills in their day-to-day interactions with young people, thereby fostering a culture of self-reliance and growth. The decision to integrate coaching methods into the project stemmed from several key considerations: Empowerment: Coaching fosters a sense of empowerment among young people by enabling them to set and achieve their own goals. Autonomy: Coaching respects the autonomy of young people, allowing them to take ownership of their development journey. Skill Development: Coaching techniques not only benefit young people but also empower youth workers to enhance their own skills and professional development.
