Objectives

”Aiming for Training” was a training course involving participants from 5 partner countries: Romania, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Bulgaria. The initial motivation for starting this project was to offer the youth workers the tools and methods to help them to become better trainers in their future projects. The aim of the project was to improve our youth workers’ competencies to prepare, implement and debrief a training session based on non-formal education methods. The objectives for the project were: - the youth workers to improve their basic knowledge about training (training cycle, learning styles, stages of experiential learning, visualisation tools, group dynamics ), - participants to learn how to effectively assess the training needs of young people through creating professional questionnaires, - the youth workers to improve skills needed for quality training: public speaking, group coordination, NFE methods, debriefing, keeping learners’ motivation, over the entire duration of the project - the youth workers to become more confident in their abilities as trainers and to feel motivated to create workshops for the young people they work with, at the end of the project.
