The main motive for creating and implementing this project stemmed from the aspiration of young people to actively engage in the formation or improvement of new sustainable communities and group initiatives/projects in our region of Southeast Europe. Moreover, the need to support them in that process was recognized and enabled them to connect with other youth workers from the area to support each other in that process. The project partners collectively identified the lack of necessary capacities and knowledge within their respective organizations when it comes to building sustainable communities, initiatives, and projects. By implementing the “CLIPS your community” project, we wanted to improve and develop the capacities and skills of youth workers and partner organizations through the application of CLIPS methodology and tools. Our focus was on strengthening the process of community building within organizations, initiatives, and projects, setting clear intentions, and establishing sustainable structures. In this way, we wanted to contribute to the strengthening and sustainability of communities, organizations, groups, and projects in which youth workers and partner organizations work. Therefore, the goals of this project were: - to transfer and transform the best from the tradition of eco-villages into new sustainable community initiatives, helping them to grow and prosper through training in which participants improve their skills in working with youth groups, using the CLIPS methodology. - to make the CLIPS methodology known to as many youth workers, young people, and organizations in South East Europe as possible - networking of youth workers from Southeast Europe in order to mutually strengthen, support, and jointly disseminate the Clips methodology in the region The above objectives are based on capacity building within social skills through CLIPS methods on how to move in the I / WE dichotomy, how to lead community-building processes, set strong intentions, and establish structures leading to stronger and more sustainable communities/initiatives/projects. CLIPS (Community Life Incubator Program for Sustainability) is a result of the KA2 project (SCIPP) from 2015-17 and its continuation from 2018-2020, which was created as a result of gathering 30 years of experience of living together and working in eco-villages from different European countries. The CLIPS methodology has proven extremely useful and effective in working with groups and communities.
