The project wanted to target what needs and problems the young people with and without disabilities have detected using digital tools. The world has become a more digital place and this affects us and our society. Being a part of the digital world it is a given. But for our mixed groups and organisation to find common ground has been a challenge. For our organizations and young people, a digital approach that is well suited for mixed groups (people with or without disabilities) is of great importance. The young people needed support and wanted to explore how the digital approach and society affects young people from different countries. By giving the young people opportunities to work with these questions we want through this project to lighten the question and the approach of digital ways with mixed groups. It will also help to experience workshops and meetings with young people around the globe. We want to tackle the inequality that exists for people with disabilities to join activities together with people with no disabilities both physically and digitally. The project will use Antonovsky's salutogenic-theory “the sense of coherence” which focuses on three lead words - Comprehensibility, Manageability and Meaningfulness. By using this theory as a cornerstone, Caprifolen has been able to integrate people with disabilities successfully in the projects and performances. In the process of working with the salutogenic-theory we added one more lead word to the project - which was predictability. Predictability for the target group (people with disabilities) makes it easier for them to join the activity. The more we work with predictability, we learn that this is something that all of our youth participants benefited from to feel more safe and engaged. It doesn't matter whether you have special needs or not, everyone has a need to know what lies ahead. At the youth exchange we will work with workshops for mixed groups. Before the youth exchange the young people will share workshops digitally with each other's organizations. The experiences of these digital workshops will be discussed, evaluated, and developed further during the youth exchange. Caprifolen and partners want to carry out this project to integrate and open up for our organisations and young people to be more active and involved in digital meetings. After the youth exchange the organizations should together make a larger evaluation of the outcomes and results, and conclude on the learnings that are most important to bring back for each organization to continue this work after the project is done. Therefore, the young people will be supported and coached to take lead roles both in the workshops and the evaluations. The main objective of the youth exchange is that the young participants with or without disabilities feel enriched by the experience and become ambassadors for both the project and the work of integration and cross boarding. The young participants should leave the youth exchange with a feeling that they both have received new experience and have been able to give new experience to others. On the basis of the needs of the young people and the aim of this youth exchange we are working with a number of different objectives to reach our overarching goal. Objects: - To increase the young people’s knowledge about disabilities and its possibilities. - To show different methods to be used to integrate people with disabilities in a workshop. - To create and learn vaulting, drama, dance, circus and art through workshops. - To increase the young people’s knowledge based on the Erasmus + Key action. - To increase the ability of young people with disabilities to take part in workshops together with young participants with no disabilities. - To give young people an opportunity to perform and spread the project at an open event, both physically and digitally.
