The main purpose of the project was to enhance the international dimension of the project and expand its activities to a broader international level through the use of sports and sporting activities, specifically football. Simultaneously, it aimed to improve the level of key competencies and skills through strengthened collaboration among organizations. The project was based on the Fair Play for Life project, previously implemented in Turkey involving 20 organizations. The project in Slovenia represented a continuation of this initiative with the aim of involving new organizations from different countries, thus further expanding the idea of transferring Fair Play principles from sports to other areas of youth social life. The goals we aimed to pursue were: the inclusion of young people from various social backgrounds, with a special emphasis on those with fewer opportunities; promoting and enabling inclusivity and equal opportunities for all; fostering socially acceptable behavior and mutual connections among young people to enable them to acquire knowledge and experiences that would empower them to utilize their potentials and become productive members of our society. Certain groups of young people are increasingly excluded from social life or lack equal conditions and opportunities for inclusion. These groups primarily include young people not engaged in education, youths from socioeconomically disadvantaged families, those from different cultural backgrounds, individuals with special needs, overweight youths, youths from rural areas, and others. As a tool to achieve these goals, we utilized sports. Sports offer young people an alternative to street life, drugs, and alcohol, while promoting the development of interpersonal skills, including interaction, negotiation, and compromise. Sports also promote gender equality, integration, and mutual understanding through sport and encourage a healthy lifestyle and the breakdown of stereotypes. Sports provide them with an opportunity to integrate into wider society. Sports have scientifically proven positive effects on individuals' health, both physically, mentally, and socially. They also have a significant impact on individuals' participation in broader social life, promoting solidarity, tolerance, and responsibility, contributing to sustainable development, and other positive social values (White Paper on Sport, 2007, Brussels, European Commission). Fair play is a concept associated with sports and represents the foundation of behavior and relationships towards sports and among athletes. Fair play not only entails respect for rules but also involves accepting sports values and promoting positive behavior in a sports environment. The principles and values of fair play are not only important and applicable in sports but can also be effectively utilized in all other social activities. Through the project "Fair Play includes and unites," we introduced these aspects to young people and encouraged them to apply them in their daily lives, actively engaging in society. Here are some aspects of how fair play contributes to the positive development of young people and sports culture: Character development: Fair play promotes the development of positive characteristics such as honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility, and self-discipline. Young people learn to act fairly in both winning and losing moments and to take responsibility for their actions. Social skills: Participation in sports with respect for teammates, opponents, and referees contributes to the development of social skills. Young people learn to communicate, cooperate, and develop positive relationships, which also benefit them outside the sports environment. Learning from defeat: Fair play encourages a healthy attitude towards defeat. Young people learn that losses are part of life, learn to accept them with dignity, and draw useful lessons from them for personal growth. Respect for diversity: Sports can bring together young people from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. Fair play promotes respect for diversity and equality, contributing to the creation of an inclusive social environment. Prevention of aggression and violence: Learning fair play helps prevent aggression and violence. Young people learn to control their behavior, resolve conflicts in a positive manner, and build positive social interaction. Behavioral patterns: Young athletes often seek behavioral patterns from older athletes, coaches, and parents. If these patterns exhibit fair play, young people learn to value and follow such behavior themselves
