The main aim of the project was to increase youth participation in local, regional, national, and European levels. The specific objectives that were used to achieve this goal are as follows: creating a space for participants to share experiences, education about the laws and legislation ruling the works of student and youth parliaments in participating countries, as well as discussing the rights and obligations of student parliaments in order to clarify its role in the school, cities and local environment, working with motivation of young people to engage in democratic activities, including those of student and youth parliaments, and dealing with self-motivation and motivating others. This also closely ties to the inter-cultural exchange and learning, the daily guided self and group reflection on the learning process throughout the project, and on the work on student parliaments, and lastly, increasing participants’ soft skills such as communication and dealing with conflict.
