In the Trenčín region, there were two stable youth parliaments in the cities of Prievidza and Púchov. The activity of many youth parliaments in the region was affected by the pandemic - they were solving problems with the motivation of members, their leaving for universities, with insufficient transfer of information and know-how between members, and other problems. At the same time, we had many places in the region where there was no youth parliament, or not a well functioning one, or developed work with youth. There was a lack of history of youth participation and it was necessary to support the youth in these cities in establishing youth parliaments. Based on preliminary communication with the youth in our region, we have identified for cooperation those with whom we have already communicated about the interest in establishing or developing and improving the activity of the youth parliament in their city. We planned to involve at least 464 participants in the project. The main goal of the project was the development, recognition and stabilization of the representative democracy of young people in the territory of the Trenčín region through support for the creation and development of youth parliaments in cities and the region. Below the goals of the project were (measurable indicators are in the impact section): 1. To support the acceptance of the needs of youth in city councils through youth representatives who will be part of these councils. 2. To support the creation of youth parliaments and the improvement of the quality of their activities. The goal was that the youth parliaments were not only a platform for the realization of cultural and social activities in the city, but that they also performed the representative function of the youth in deciding on public matters at the level of the city council. 3. To develop the cooperation of youth parliaments in the territory of the Trenčín region through networking activities. 4. To develop a partnership approach and cooperation between the local government and youth parliaments at the local level. 5. The creation of tools supporting the activity of youth parliaments involved in the project. 5. To create and stabilize the structure of youth parliaments at the regional level 6. To support awareness and visibility of the solution of important topics and goals at the European, national, but also regional and local level in the field of environmental protection and inclusion. It is these topics that are often the most important for young people who are already in secondary school (we were based on the outputs and minutes of the TSK Intersectoral Working Group for Youth and regional analyzes incorporated into local strategic plans (see Documents on working with youth at the local level http: //rcmtn.sk/dokumenty/ ).
