The main goals of Flower PoweR project were 1 Increasing knowledge and skills regarding green,community gardens, and growing plants of young people who studied the Flower PoweR Booklet. At the Booklet is also a step by step guide on how to start your own community garden. 2 Involvement in the experience exchange of experts of 3 partners. They participated in RO, SK and PL study visits where they saw examples of good practice in the gardening and establishment of community garden. Thus they learned new things about the opportunities and new innovation in gardenings. 3 Promote cross-sectoral development through open online booklets and Multiplier Events. Increasing the organizational capacity through the cooperation between the 3 partners.
We applied for the Flower PoweR project because it incorporates our passion for education in planting and gardening and our desire to contribute to the development of community gardens, greener cities and sustainable individuals. This project gave us an opportunity to work on initiatives that promote learning pupils at schools about planting plants, gardening, and empowering knowledge about community gardens through educational activities, study visits, and brainstorming with partners from Poland and Romania. *Planting and Gardening Education: Provide theoretical and practical education in planting and gardening to the students to increase knowledge in botany and environmental sustainability. *Community Garden Development: Develop and care for community gardens, hence fostering community spirit and mutual responsibility. *Knowledge Empowerment: To empower students and members of the community to acquire knowledge and skills on how to establish and maintain community gardens. Organize educational activities, study visits, and brainstorming with Polish and Romanian partners to exchange best practice and innovative ideas on issues related to urban gardening and sustainable education.
