Objectives

Our project named “Save the Green” is a youth exchange. It will be held in Muğla-Fethiye between 01.04.2023 and 08.04.2023 with 36 participants from 6 different countries. Six participants from each country, including five participants and a group leader from Italy, Latvia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, will participate in our project. The education of our project is informal education. Presentations, field studies, surveys, group studies, simulations and various tasks will be carried out in accordance with Erasmus+ goals. The sessions, supported by ice-breaking and stimulating activities, will be geared towards intercultural transfer and learning. The sessions will include activities to strengthen cohesion and team spirit. In our project, forest fires that occur as a result of climate change in different countries will be evaluated and the attitudes and approaches of countries towards this problem will be examined. In addition, our participants' awareness of forest fires will increase, and they will be able to think more deeply about this problem and find different solutions. During our project, surveys that will measure the awareness of the society on the subject will be prepared and applied, and in this way, how sensitive the society is to the subject will be measured. In addition, we aim to increase awareness of forest fires with brochures to be prepared during the project. These activities we will do will create the project outputs, and at the end of the project, thanks to our participants and partner organizations, the spread of the project outputs will increase and we will have an impact on more people. At the end of our project, our participants will interact with people from different cultures and will have information about different cultures. In addition, they will be individuals who are more sensitive to nature and will be young people who take care to protect nature. Our participants, who will have information about the measures applied in different countries, the intervention methods and the efforts to save nature, will be individuals who produce more active and innovative solutions to this problem in their own countries. They will also be encouraged to voluntarily participate in such activities. Our participants, who will interact with different cultures, will have information about cultural differences and will have destroyed possible prejudices. They will also be able to adopt and own cultures different from their own. Thanks to the project that will take place in our country, the participants will also get to know Turkish culture and history, and they will have learned the process of combating disasters in our country. In this way, prejudices against our country will be destroyed.
