In addition to providing oxygen to living things, forests prevent soil erosion, protect water basins, reduce the negative effects of global warming, balance the water cycle, absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, store clean water, make nests for animals and obtain food. In forests, which are of vital importance for living things, sometimes natural causes and sometimes human-induced fires occur. Lightning strikes, volcanic eruptions or high temperatures are natural factors that cause forest fires. Although most forest fires occur as a result of lightning strikes, wind, air temperature, and precipitation determine how long the fire will grow, last, and spread. The fact that the weather is extremely hot and there is no precipitation for a long time is enough for a small spark from lightning to start a forest fire. Some forest fires are caused by human causes. For example, cigarette butts left in nature, electricity leaks, making fires for the purpose of expanding the land or cleaning the roots and stems after harvest, throwing fireworks, burning garbage, camping and picnic fires that are not extinguished are among these reasons. Forest fires that occur during the fire season due to global warming affect extremely hot and arid regions more. For example, one of the long-lasting and devastating fires occurred in the Amazon Rainforest last year. Under normal circumstances, forest fires occur frequently in the Amazon due to high temperatures between July and October, and these fires are usually caused by lightning strikes. But NASA researchers, who studied forest fires in the Amazon Rainforest between January and October 2019, believe that these fires were started by farmers to set fires to expand land or clean up roots and stems after harvest. If we look at what we want to achieve and our goals in the light of all the information we have given: - First of all, we want to raise awareness about forest fires in the people of Antalya Region, which has been adversely affected by forest fires recently. When we evaluate the situation in the light of the information we have given above, it is seen that forest fires are also caused by the unconscious practices of people. For this reason, we want to minimize forest fires that will arise from negligence and unconsciousness by raising awareness and awareness in our region. -To draw attention to the recent forest fires in our Antalya province and to ensure that the importance of the situation is understood. - To ensure that the ways of creating a plant habitat resistant to forest fires are learned and to be a motivating force for all institutions and organizations working on the environment. -We want to make an impact not only in the local but also in the international field regarding our project topic. Understanding that forest fires are a global problem, we want to be a motivating force for governments to regulate their policies in this regard. We want to pave the way for legal regulations in this regard by reaching decision makers. -We want to create permanent changes on forest fires on our participants, partners and all individuals we can reach. -We want people to understand the causes of forest fires and take their responsibilities in this regard and make permanent changes in themselves. -We want to understand the effects of forest fires on national economies. In this way, we want to make it clear that the consequences of forest fires are not in a single area. -We want an understanding of the impact of wildfires on our ecological system and habitats. -Global warming, changes in our ecological system, increasing temperatures, etc. We want to understand how factors cause forest fires. In fact, we want it to be understood that the basic structure of forest fires is the damage caused by humans to nature. -Through our project, we want to create awareness and consciousness on environmentally friendly (recycling, zero waste) issues, first of all our participants and then all the individuals our project reaches. - Through our project, we want to be a motivating force for institutions, organizations, associations and non-governmental organizations working on forest fires. -We want the activities carried out on forest fires to increase even more through our project and to inspire many international projects. -Through our project, we want to raise awareness on March 21-26, which is celebrated as Forest Week. -We would like to introduce the Erasmus+ program and its benefits to our participants, local people and young people in a comprehensive manner. We want our participants to be willing to participate in new projects and write projects after our project.
