Objectives

Through Erasmus+ projects, we collaborated with various countries to raise awareness among young people about how they can acquire knowledge and protect themselves from diseases. We were aware of the significant role of the Erasmus+ program in addressing societal issues. We aimed to complement the deficiencies in education on this platform and influence decision-makers in countries to raise awareness about these topics. We created an Infectious Diseases and Prevention Booklet, which will be disseminated among young people, and as a result, young people in many countries will gain knowledge about these issues. We provided project writing training during dissemination activities to enable participants to create new Erasmus+ projects based on the knowledge they gained during mobility. This way, the Erasmus+ program will establish a system that ensures continuity in education about infectious diseases. Our goals regarding the issues mentioned above were as follows: • To raise awareness among young people and the community by sharing knowledge and experiences about how infectious diseases emerge, under which conditions they spread, the symptoms of certain infectious diseases, and methods of prevention. • To attempt to prevent physical and mental health problems that may arise in young people. • To raise awareness about the importance of sports and healthy nutrition. • To help participants internalize the need to strengthen their immunity as the foundation for protecting themselves from infectious diseases. • To teach what to do in the case of any infectious disease. • To ensure that accurate and up-to-date information about infectious diseases is available. • To minimize prejudice, hate speech, racism, and discrimination against people with infectious diseases and various ethnic background
