Objectives

The main goal of our 21st century skills-based project was to provide participants with 21st century skills such as creativity, teamwork, leadership, effective communication, feedback, crisis management, time management and project writing. It was aimed to prevent their feelings of backwardness and minimize their stress and anxiety with activities that would enable them to control their stress and anxiety levels. In this way, it was among the expectations that the young people participating in the project would gain awareness about both 21st century skills and stress and anxiety factors. The aim was to involve young people in all activities through non-formal education methods and to provide them with 21st century skills. The main objectives of the project are; to enable the participants to express themselves better and establish healthy relationships in their social environment by providing them with effective communication, to prevent one-way information flow by providing feedback skills to the participants and to enable them to communicate accurately and effectively, to provide young people with the ability to put forward new ideas and products for a purpose by going beyond the limits with creativity skills, to provide the participants with the ability to use time effectively and efficiently with time management skills, to enable them to anticipate and intervene in a crisis situation with crisis management skills and to emphasize the importance of teamwork and effective communication during a crisis. The teamwork topic was adapted to almost all sessions. Throughout the project, it was aimed for the participants to acquire teamwork skills in an experiential way. With this skill, participants will be ready to make critical decisions as a team and to do a job as a team. With the leadership skill, participants will have the ability to change ongoing traditions with responsibility, intelligence and knowledge. They will become individuals who are beneficial to their environment. In addition to gaining all these skills, the main objectives of the activities designed to combat the stress and anxiety caused by the feeling of being behind and not being able to catch up in daily life are; to reduce the stress levels of the participants, to enable them to control their anxiety, to show that this feeling is not only experienced by them, but that it is a global feeling that most young people have, to support each other by sharing in a peaceful environment and to overcome these feelings. By selecting our participants regardless of gender, age, race and education level, the participants were expected to break down the stereotypes and prejudices of young people. The participants' values of being a citizen of the world will be strengthened and they will have the opportunity to develop intercultural dialogue by coming together with more than one culture, which will improve their sense of responsibility. Throughout the project, the cooperation between young people will increase and the sense of responsibility will develop through workshops and activities. In order to improve the self-confidence and leadership skills of the participants, they will be expected to design and present activities. Thus, the involvement of the participants will be increased. environmental and sustainability activities were aimed to be organized. For example, in the creativity activity, participants will be asked to make an item that they can use in their lives with the clay that will be given to them. It is important for them to use this in their lives so that they will have a souvenir from the project and it is planned to be an activity that supports sustainability. It is also aimed to minimize the damage to the environment by using clay material. In addition, participants will be asked to bring their own mugs and canteens to use throughout the project. It is planned to reduce the use of paper throughout the project. Project writing activity will be carried out to comprehend the project logic and to increase the involvement of young people in this field. Here, young people will be asked to produce solutions to the problems they see around them and integrate them with erasmus+ projects. It is also aimed to create an opportunity for the participants to gain another 21st century skill, project management. With the impact of the project, young individuals and groups around the participants will also become aware of 21st century skills and the importance of anxiety and stress. The diversity of countries/races/religions of the participants will be high. In an environment with these differences, it is aimed to increase individuals' respect for interpersonal differences and to develop their empathy skills. Thanks to all these effects, the awareness of the city where our project will take place will increase and it will take a step forward in the field of being an environmentally friendly city.
