Objectives

We really felt the importance and potential massive impact that this project on Europe, its values, its realities (advantages of being a European citizen, situation for the arriving immigrants, perspectives for the next future), and its principles as an example of democracy, freedom, and cooperation for the rest of the world, would stimulate the young generations to analyze how is Europe nowadays and to identify easier the crucial next steps to make the EU stronger and more united than ever. By carrying out this project we wanted to involve 24 young people coming from several contexts (EU member/non-EU member) that will bring together interesting perspectives from those who are born Europeans. The dissemination activities would represent a fundamental aspect of this project including local events in all the 4 different countries involved before and after the elections plus several actions on social media to reach as many people as possible. The final goal of the project “EU's Youth in Action!” is to raise awareness about European institutions and elections to understand how is this massive union effectively working day by day and most of all to develop critical thinking that would push the next generations to act and to improve the EU concretely in itself. We will be working on the " Do you feel more European?" question which every participant received in a survey after any kind of Erasmus+ youth exchange. Focusing on this question will bring us a clear result if the participants really care about this question and feel it in themselves. We are also determined to connect our exchange to the local candidates for the European elections sharing the results of our common reflections and workshops to prepare an official proposal of possible ideas and actions that could be discussed in the future European Parliament as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. Reaching a target of people (local, international, and online campaigns) and bringing our proposals to the next European Parliament legislature are the final goals of our project, potentially just starting a wider initiative to change through and with Youth.
