Objectives

The positive effects of sports on physical, mental, psychological, social, academic, and overall well-being are undeniable. Engaging in physical activities is crucial for a healthy and happy life. However, one of the greatest challenges faced by young people today is the influence of phones and, consequently, social media. Social media tends to make young people passive both physically and mentally, fostering a generation that consumes rather than creates. It is essential for inactive, non-producing, and merely consuming young individuals to motivate themselves, become aware of their capabilities, recognize what they can do, and take action to empower themselves. Alongside their personal development, enhancing the progress and well-being of young people will make them more active contributors to society's advancement. Given the significant importance of sports, we embarked on this project with the following objectives: We aimed to make young people feel active in a world where they tend to become passive due to the influence of the era. We facilitated the adaptation of the healing effects of sports on their physical, mental, and social well-being into their lives. We broke down the prejudices against sports among young people. Many young people perceive sports as difficult and unattainable due to various reasons (economic, environmental, temporal, physical, etc.). Therefore, we replaced these prejudices with real and proven judgments through the activities outlined in the project, such as sports activities, blending theoretical and practical knowledge. We contributed to improving young people in every aspect through the influence of sports. We increased awareness about sports among young people. We served as a facilitator for young people to integrate the positive effects of sports into their lives through our activities. We aimed to contribute to societal healing and well-being by fostering the development of our future generation. Another important objective of our project was not only to encourage young people to engage in physical activities but also to provide them with information about healthy lifestyles. Project activities covered topics such as nutrition, regular exercise and mental health, aiming to raise the awareness of young people in these areas. By using non-formal education techniques, we ensured that young people were informed about these issues and integrated them into their lifestyles. In addition, the sports activities organized as part of our project provided a platform to develop teamwork and cooperation skills among young people. During these activities, young people also reinforced their social skills by interacting with other participants from different backgrounds. Team sports and group activities allowed participants to explore and develop their leadership skills. Thanks to the participation of the young people in the project in sports activities, we observed a noticeable increase in their self-confidence levels. The sense of physical competence from playing sports had a positive impact on their self-image and self-esteem. The results of the project showed how the regular participation of young people in sports activities can improve their overall quality of life. The surveys conducted among the participants showed that by the end of the project, the majority of young people had increased their frequency of playing sports and had a better understanding of the positive impact of sports on their lives. Finally, the "Dynamic Youth" project laid the groundwork for young people to become more sensitive and solution-oriented in their approach to social problems. One of the long-term goals of our project is to ensure the sustainability of the positive impact of such programs on young people and to encourage them to take active roles in society. To this end, our project motivated young people not only to play sports but also to make healthy changes in society.
