Objectives

The objectives we aimed to achieve in order to realise the "Get Skilled - Get Digital" project were as follows: To increase the technological skills of young people and enable them to apply these skills to education, communication, socialisation and other areas of life. It is thought that the increase in separation anxiety, depression and suicidal tendencies in young people due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is due to the problem of staying at home for a long time and not being able to develop socialisation skills. It is understood that young people need to be equipped with technological and digital skills to cope with these challenges. This project aims to raise awareness of young people about the importance of technological competences and digital skills in their daily lives through non-formal education. We believe that young people's acquisition of these skills can help them cope with the problems they face more effectively. Our project also aims to create a platform for young people from different cultures to learn from each other by encouraging the exchange of experiences among young people. The main objectives of the project are to provide our participants with new skills and competences that they can use throughout their lives and to enable them to transfer this knowledge and skills to their environment. Our project also aims to encourage young people to have more contact with modern technology and enable them to use it effectively. Promoting the Erasmus+ Programme as an opportunity for young people to acquire new skills and encouraging the creation of future projects are also important objectives of our project. Another aim of this project is to gain knowledge and awareness on Erasmus+ and ESC, learn about the opportunities for participation and share them with peers. In addition, contributing to the capacity building of the participating organisations in the field of digitalisation and increasing their skills in this field are also among the priority objectives of the project. In conclusion, the "Get Skilled - Get Digital" project was implemented as a comprehensive initiative focusing on important objectives such as increasing the technological and digital competencies of young people, encouraging experience sharing, providing new skills and introducing programmes such as Erasmus+ to young people. In line with these objectives, we aimed to contribute to the individual development of young people and we hope to see the long-term effects of the project.
