The aim of the project is to strengthen skills in human rights education. The exchange of experiences and cooperation with international experts should lead to an expansion of the spectrum of methods for participatory human rights education and current applications of Holocaust education. The network of international partners working for human rights should be strengthened and expanded further. Joint international actions for human rights should be planned and executed.
Since its foundation in 2016, the community association “Awareness Region Mauthausen - Gusen - St. Georgen” has been committed to human rights, democracy and peaceful coexistence in remembrance of the region's Nazi history. The awareness region focuses on education, in particular on human rights education and Holocaust education. People of all generations from the local, regional and international area are reached in a multimedia way.
