The implementation of the project pursued the overarching goal of supporting the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt) in realising its vision “We open horizons” and its comprehensive internationalisation strategy. At the heart of the project was the promotion of diversity-oriented professionalisation of educational professionals, aiming to make a sustainable contribution to equal opportunities and peaceful coexistence in an increasingly globalised and diverse society, based on scientific evidence. The project activities were closely aligned with the principles of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), which PHSt actively implements. These principles include in particular: - the promotion of mobility and intercultural exchange; - the recognition of learning outcomes; - the support of participants through targeted preparatory and accompanying measures; - and the assurance of quality in all mobility activities. The internationalisation strategy of the University College of Teacher Education Styria (PHSt) defines seven key areas of action, including *Internationalisation@Home*, *Education4Diversity*, and *ResearchlovesWorld*, which were specifically addressed through the project. The mobility activities for academic and administrative staff contributed to embedding international and intercultural perspectives in teaching, research, and counselling, while also enhancing the international visibility of the institution. By actively promoting staff mobility for teaching and training purposes, the project created space for professional exchange, intercultural learning, and the development of competencies that are essential for addressing linguistic, cultural, and social diversity in the educational sector. The project strengthened PHSt’s institutional capacity for international cooperation and contributed to the implementation of the higher education policy agenda at the European level—particularly in alignment with the principles of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and the core European values of inclusion, diversity, and democratic engagement. In the long term, the project’s impact extends beyond the institution itself: internationally and interculturally trained educators bring their experiences into schools and educational networks, thereby making a valuable contribution to the development of an open, tolerant, and future-oriented society.
