Since its founding in 2004, the Medical University of Graz has participated in the Erasmus+ KA131 mobility program. Over the years, the university has established and maintained numerous partnerships, enabling both student and staff mobility. Med Uni Graz continuously evaluates its existing partnerships and seeks new collaborations when they promise added value for students and staff alike. Incoming and outgoing mobility within the Erasmus+ program is a cornerstone of the university’s internationalization strategy. Our aim is to make studying and training abroad a natural part of academic and professional development for all students and staff, while ensuring inclusive access to the program. Engagement in Erasmus+ further supports the university’s efforts to increase participation in outgoing mobility across all faculties and departments. Med Uni Graz puts particular emphasis on equal opportunities and inclusive mobility. We are committed to ensuring that all students and staff, regardless of background or individual circumstances, have the possibility to benefit from exchange opportunities. We are convinced that teaching and training mobility foster international knowledge exchange and the dissemination of best practices in medicine and medical administration. Therefore, increasing staff mobility is another key priority. To enhance mobility numbers, Med Uni Graz has used KA131 funds to support initiatives such as the “International Day” study abroad fair, the celebration of Erasmus+ Days, and dedicated information events for staff. In addition, each semester, the university organizes events for incoming students — including intercultural awareness training sessions, city tours, excursions, and social gatherings — financed through KA131 funds. These measures are designed to raise awareness of Erasmus+ and to highlight the benefits of participation for both students and staff.
