Objectives

Especially in times when terms like Europeanisation, internationalisation, and globalisation are far more than just buzzwords, and a common European educational area with a wide range of study opportunities is increasingly becoming a reality, the Mozarteum University Salzburg takes its responsibility to promote cooperation at both national and international level very seriously. Mobility is a central theme and an inherent characteristic of the world of music and the arts – its significance is reflected in many areas of the university's activities. Mobility as a core element of internationalisation is particularly effective for acquiring international and intercultural skills. That is why the Mozarteum University Salzburg supports all members of the university in gaining mobility experience. At the Mozarteum University, international mobility is considered an integral part of academic life. Experience abroad offers students, teaching staff, and administrative staff valuable opportunities to gain additional knowledge and skills. In doing so, international and intercultural competencies as well as foreign language abilities are actively fostered. A key objective of both student and staff mobility is the expansion of networks and close collaboration among higher education institutions in the fields of music and the arts across Europe.
