Through its involvement in ERASMUS+ 2021-2027 the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (referred to as PLUS) aims to expand opportunities for sustainable teaching and education, personal and academic development and active citizenship for its students, graduates and staff. The University of Salzburg also focused to develop teaching programmes that promote students' and teachers' awareness of European identity, linguistic diversity and cultural heritage in Europe and worldwide. To this end, the PLUS increased engagement while developing joint teaching projects, for example like starting to design and offer Blended Intensive Programmes. Through its active participation in the European University Alliance CIVIS since March 2022, the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg is contributing to the further development of European higher education institutions on the way to a common European Higher Education Area. The vision pursued here aims, among other things, to avoid future mismatches between the demand for and supply of academic skills and to increase the intercultural and linguistic competences of students and graduates and staff. In Project 2023, the programme's focus on expanding mobility opportunities through short-term mobility (especially BIP) and environmentally friendly travel was further intensified.
