The University of Vienna considers internationalisation a cornerstone of its strategic development. The Erasmus+ KA131 programme plays a crucial role in supporting the university’s internationalisation objectives. It is a key driver for fostering student and staff mobility, facilitating exchanges with numerous partner universities both within and beyond the EU. Erasmus+ mobility opportunities for students, teaching staff, and administrative staff are essential for the university to strengthen its position as an internationally oriented institution. On an individual level, the university aims to provide students, staff, and researchers with opportunities to gain international experience, expand their European networks, and develop new skills. In the 2023 project, particular emphasis was placed on student mobility. The university significantly expanded opportunities for short-term mobility, enabling more students to gain international experience. This focus will continue in the coming years to further broaden access to mobility opportunities. Furthermore, as a member of the European University Alliance Circle U., the university is committed to prioritising and enhancing mobility within the alliance. This will remain a key focus in the years ahead, as the university seeks to deepen collaboration and strengthen its role within the alliance.
