Objectives

For the 2023 call, the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH OÖ) set itself the goal of promoting mobility opportunities, especially for those students who are unable to undertake long-term mobility for personal, professional, or economic reasons. Thanks to the successful promotion of short-term mobility opportunities, the budget from the 2023 call was primarily used to fund short-term stays. We worked closely with selected partner universities to create and implement suitable formats for our students. In addition, there was an initiative for FH Upper Austria employees to inspire new colleagues to get involved in internationalization and to encourage long-standing employees who had previously had little or no experience of international formats to take part in teaching stays and further training mobility programs. The mobility programs were also used to deepen existing international contacts and to (re)activate new or previously inactive partnerships. The FH Upper Austria was able to implement both objectives in the area of student and staff mobility very well. The interest of students in short stays abroad and the interest of employees in international exchange was awakened or increased, as evidenced by the number of funded mobility programs in the student and staff areas. For more information, see the section on implementation.
