Objectives

PHT: The Erasmus+ programme is central to the mobility strategy of the Pädagogische Hochschule Tirol (PHT) and drives the institution’s internationalisation. As a college of education, PHT trains future teachers for primary, secondary, and vocational schools. Cooperation with partner universities and schools fosters mutual understanding of educational systems and enables learning from and with each other. Through mobility opportunities for students, lecturers, and staff, we aim to provide relevant study and practical experiences abroad, exchange expertise, and strengthen intercultural competences. Incoming mobility supports Internationalisation@home, allowing non-mobile students and staff to benefit from international perspectives on campus. Our overarching goal is to broaden international opportunities, enhance professional and academic skills, and foster a European identity. By building sustainable partnerships, we ensure long-term cooperation, continuous exchange, and mutual learning. PH Steiermark: Internationalisation is a principle anchored in the profile of the University College of Teacher Education Styria and an integral part of all service areas. In accordance with the definition of the European Parliament's study "Internationalisation of Higher Education", it is understood as a cross-university, targeted process. It integrates international, intercultural and global perspectives. All those working at the university are involved and contribute to increasing the quality of teaching, research and counselling. PH OÖ: For outgoing student mobilities, PH OÖ has focused on creating meaningful and sustainable opportunities that align with the European Education Area framework, the ZLP 2023–2025 strategy, and the HMIS2030 plan. Outgoing mobilities have enabled students to broaden their international expertise, gain insights into diverse educational systems, and strengthen intercultural competences. These experiences not only contribute to personal and professional development but also serve as a catalyst for institutional growth, fostering long-term partnerships and collaborative projects. Returning students are encouraged to share their insights within the institution, ensuring that the benefits extend beyond the individual to the wider academic community. In this way, student mobilities support the internationalization of PH OÖ, enrich teacher education, and contribute to the collective advancement of the institution within the European Education Area.
