Objectives

FH Kufstein Tirol is firmly committed to preparing its students for a globalized world. As part of its strategic vision, the university places strong emphasis on internationalization, intercultural understanding, and academic mobility. These values are not just abstract goals but are actively integrated into the academic experience through a variety of concrete measures. A cornerstone of this international approach is the mandatory semester abroad for all full-time bachelor’s students, combined with the opportunity to complete an internship abroad. This structure allows students to immerse themselves in new cultural and academic environments, develop essential global competencies, and gain hands-on experience beyond national borders. Such experiences not only enhance employability but also foster a deeper understanding of European values, international cooperation, and democratic participation. The university’s strategy also extends to teaching and training mobility for staff, promoting the exchange of knowledge and pedagogical practices across borders. By encouraging international teaching and research collaborations, FH Kufstein Tirol strengthens its position within a global academic community. With a network of over 235 partner universities worldwide, FH Kufstein Tirol maintains strong global connections that support student and staff exchanges, joint programs, and intercultural dialogue. These partnerships play a vital role in enriching the academic landscape and advancing the university’s commitment to inclusion, equal opportunity, and continuous development of skills and knowledge. In summary, FH Kufstein Tirol’s internationalization strategy is not only about crossing physical borders—it is about opening minds, broadening perspectives, and investing in the holistic development of individuals within an interconnected world.
