The aim of the project was to strengthen social skills through joint music-making, intercultural exchange, and teamwork. By gaining personal experiences in an international context, students were encouraged to develop a stronger awareness of European values and diversity. Playing together in a shared band served as a cultural bridge, promoting mutual respect, a sense of responsibility, and collaboration. At the same time, it supported the development and enhancement of the students’ musical talents. The project’s presence on Instagram was also intended to have an external impact by raising awareness among young people outside the core group about European cooperation, diversity, and cultural exchange.
The project was initiated to deepen existing cross-border friendships between Austria and Greece, while also promoting social, cultural, and musical exchange among the participating youth. The focus was on developing social skills, fostering a sense of European identity, and encouraging the experience and appreciation of both cultural and personal diversity. Music served as a unifying element that builds community across linguistic and national boundaries. Furthermore, the project aimed to create a space where young people could learn to value diversity, see differences as an enrichment, and actively contribute to European cohesion through mutual understanding and shared experiences.
