The University of Liège has taken part in the Erasmus programme from the beginning. It pursues the European objective of 20% of graduate students having made a mobility during their studies. We offer varied mobility formulas to meet the evolving needs of our community. In 2024, we started developing short blended mobilities and the participation in BIPs for both students and staff. Our objective for students is manifold : foster open-minded and tolerant EU citizens, encourage different classroom experiences with new pedagogy, improve foreign language skills and develop resourcefulness and adaptability. The Univeristy of Liège tries to strengthen existing collaborations to make them sustainable. To this end, the university tends to sign bilateral agreements for the whole duration of the Erasmus+ programme. Besides, in order to propose attractive programmes to incoming students, we offer more courses in English at the master level. We also try to attract students from our privileged partners and encourage joint degrees and Erasmus Mundus programmes in leading areas. Incoming and outgoing staff mobilities for teaching contribute to the internationalisation of our programmes. Staff mobility for training allows another category of staff (usually administrative staff) to have a mobility experience and to share best practices.
