The main objective of our project was to empower and enable the most vulnerable people (low-skilled, low-qualified, unemployed…) to take part actively in the digital and ecological transition thanks to an innovative training methodology adapted to their specific profile. Our target groups are adult people who, for economic, social, cultural, geographical or health reasons, a migrant background, educational difficulties, disability or for any other reasons, face obstacles that prevent them from having effective access to job opportunities. In order to contribute to the social and professional inclusion of these vulnerable people in the digital and environmental transition, the project partners have developed the e-learning platform “No one behind !". The objective of this platform is to provide vulnerable people with basic digital and environmental skills as well as vocational guidance to be actively involved in the new labour market and society, with the support of the associations welcoming and training them. By this way our project also contributes to reducing skills gaps and labour market shortages, whilst ensuring that no one is left behind.
Green jobs are undoubtedly a major stake for Europe. With this claim, hi-tech areas and graduate people are commonly targeted. Vulnerable people are not usually considered as key actors of change in our society. They constitute an important work force most often left behind and unemployed because they need special efforts in terms of training and guidance. Turning “green” jobs for low-skilled workers requires training those workers, giving them the chance to become skilled workers and to find quality jobs. The partners of our consortium have a long-lasting experience in training and vocational guidance for underprivileged people and an in-depth knowledge of the labour market and its new challenges. They gathered their experience and forces to train and guide vulnerable people to the digital and ecological transition through the e-learning platform “No one behind!”. Particular attention was given to usability and accessibility, considering the target group’s limited digital confidence and diverse learning profiles. By ensuring equal access for marginalized groups, the project upholds EU values of equality and human dignity, guiding and supporting them through the green and digital transition.
