The consortium wanted to build a global methodology, a set of concrete tools will be articulated upon this methodology, and a multidevice platform. A special focus was drawn on the testing of the methodology and the tools, to ensure the quality of the products, have the first impacts and persuade the first ambassadors of the products.
The GAP project addresses a critical challenge faced by vocational education and training (VET) institutions: the persistent gap between training programs and successful integration into the labor market, particularly for vulnerable learners. Many training centers support people with low qualifications or difficult social situations, yet their actions are often fragmented and do not necessarily form part of a single strategy for sustainable employment, as this also depends on other stakeholders in the labor market. The project responds to the need for a more holistic and coordinated approach to socio-professional integration. By developing a shared methodology, practical pedagogical tools, and a multi-device digital platform, GAP aims to strengthen job-coaching practices, career guidance and collaboration between training centers and employers. The development of tested resources can help VET professionals work more effectively as integrated teams. The project addresses the need for stronger coordination between pedagogical practices, social support and labor market partnerships, ensuring that trainees—especially from vulnerable backgrounds—can build sustainable career paths and improve their long-term employability.
