This Erasmus+ KA131 2023 project aims to further develop the mobility of outgoing and incoming students and staff in cooperation with HOGENT UAS & Art’s international partner institutions. The project supports the internationalisation objectives as defined in HOGENT Strategic Plan 2023–2028 and of course its EPS. HOGENT aims to shape future professionals through experimentation and innovation. Key performance indicators focus on sustainable international curricula, policies regarding various forms of mobility, and collaboration beyond Europe. Another goal is to develop HOGENT as a centre of expertise, amongst other through international projects. HOGENT’s internationalisation policy is built on three pillars: internationalisation@home, international mobility, and international projects and partnerships. A key principle in the use of Erasmus+ funds is that all students should be able to receive a grant for long-term mobility. In this way, HOGENT aims to offer every student the opportunity to acquire international and intercultural competences through physical mobility. In addition, driven by inclusion and innovation, HOGENT also focuses on the potential of (collective) blended mobility formats, especially for students in a specific educational context. During this project, blended mobilities were strongly promoted. HOGENT actively promotes staff mobility, using these as a lever for educational innovation and curriculum development. Focusing on real joint and qualitative first BIPs coordinated by and at HOGENT, creating also high added value for staff and the curriculum of the educational programme(s) concerned. Through the development and implementation of a sustainable travel policy, HOGENT aims to ensure that mobilities are carried out as sustainably as possible. The mobilities supported by this project are highly important for HOGENT’s strategic cooperation U!REKA European University Alliance (since 2024).
