At Karel de Grote University of Applied Sciences and Arts (KdG), our institutional strategy highlights the importance of developing global competence, together with personal leadership, digital and technological literacy, and sustainability skills. These are the qualities we believe are essential for both our students and our staff in order to prepare them for the challenges of today and tomorrow. International mobility is a key instrument to foster these competencies, with a particular focus on strengthening global competence. By engaging in mobility, students and staff alike are exposed to new perspectives, experiences, and networks that support their growth across all of these dimensions. In line with this vision, KdG works towards five specific internationalisation objectives: 1. Strengthening both the number and the quality of outgoing student mobilities 2. Enhancing the number and quality of incoming student mobilities to create a better balance with outgoing mobility 3. Expanding opportunities for staff mobility and supporting their engagement in international networks and activities 4. Broadening our involvement in international partnerships and projects, while also consolidating existing collaborations 5. Integrating internationalisation into curricula and services so that every student and staff member benefits from it, while also enriching the learning and working experience of incoming students and staff on our campuses
