Objectives

This project has (1) establish high-quality education in primary and secondary schools through perspective-based education, which implies a multidimensional approach to reality that stimulates pupils and students to think deeply on a systemic level. We have develop high-quality teaching tools and learning resources that support teachers and pupils in translating perspective-based education into practice. This project has (2) developed high-quality teaching tools that approach the teacher as a professional and support teachers, teacher trainers and students in strengthening and renewing their own teaching. Therfore we develop a proffesionalistion by online learning paths for primary and secondary education, about the methodology of perspective-oriented education and the use and design of high quality teaching tools and learning resources. This project wants (3) to reach as many pupils/students and teachers as possible. Therefore, the project results (the teaching tools, learning resources and the learning paths) are placed online as open source materials offers (freely accessible and free of any kind of commercialization).

Background

With the project PULLSE we wanted to support teachers and students in achieving powerful education that prepares them for the complexity of the society we live in today. By choosing for the vision of perspective-based education we wanted to face the challenge to help children and youngsters becoming 21st-citizens of European society by actively engaging them to set out with this knowledge and skills. PULLSE has approached the teacher as a professional who can face the compleixity and make own didactic choices when creating a powerful learning environment for all of his pupils or students. So, the the learning tools that we have made do not stay away from the complexity of reality, but are using this complexity to acquire knowledge more deeply and integrate this knowledge into a systemic approach of reality: no longer education with separate 'compartments' to look at reality, but one structured and multidimensional methodology to approach reality.
