The European exchange “My Way To The Other” is a continuation of the project carried out in 2022 in Morocco on intercultural dialogue. Within our accreditation we are in a logic of awareness and continuous emancipation with our members, non-formal learning allows us to offer an inclusive and secure framework to address all themes that affect the realities of young people. The general objective of the project is to strengthen skills in intercultural dialogue to promote socio-cultural diversity and the emancipation of young people from cultural minorities among our members and partners. For this, different specific objectives will be necessary in order to carry out in 4 major operational phases a process of acquiring skills to promote exchange with others through the implementation of participatory activities using the experience and talent of young people. Specific objective 1: Stimulate the awareness of 48 young adults on the concepts of racism, discrimination and xenophobia (stereotypes and prejudices), using different tools: conferences, testimonies, activities (theatrical scenarios, sharing of critical opinions and video projection). Specific objective 2: Promote awareness of these multiple identities and cultures (arising from family history and one's personal trajectory in relation to one's environment) in order to be able to put into perspective and accept identities other than one's own. Transforming your negative identity into a proud identity does not necessarily have to involve negating, crushing, harassing or ridiculing others. Specific objective 3: Transmit intercultural skills (values, attitudes, skills and critical understanding of decentering (= becoming aware of who you are), understanding the frame of reference of the other (= being interested in the other to know it better) and negotiation (= learning to make compromises so that we all win), in order to strengthen our ability to engage in intercultural dialogue. Specific objective 4: Build and produce a cultural production (4 min format video on cultural values) to show others the effects of discoveries and learning. Produce several testimonies from young people in 4 languages (Dutch, Bulgarian, French, Turkish) at the end of the project on their learning and experiences within the European exchange.
