Objectives

Our main objectives are LEARN, EXPLORE, EMPOWER and INCLUDE. We gave 123 young people (of which 95 with fewer opportunities) the opportunity to experience one or more European exchanges, get to know new cultures and make new friends. We wanted to promote cultural diversity and mutual understanding among young people. All this with an eye and focus on inclusion in various areas and respect for diversity. Through interactive activities and the involvement of the local community, we wanted to break down prejudices, encourage intercultural dialogue and create a sense of belonging and solidarity among participants. We gave them responsibilities to support the program and let them organize and lead activities (tailored to the participants), of course with the necessary support and where it is ok to fail or test things. We have already achieved several things in various areas. The team members and youth workers of the organisations were given the opportunity to become acquainted with museums in Greece and Estonia to learn about new methodologies with other target groups in order to gain inspiration for future projects. The safety we offered to the participants, by providing extra leaders, also ensured that this went smoothly. There was space and place to organize their thoughts and talk when in doubt. We are happy with the step forward to be an inclusive organization. By organizing the exchange in Ostend with various target groups and cultures, we have gained better insight into fully inclusive and multicultural work and we are motivated and enthusiastic to continue in this both locally as internationally. We worked with 4 new partners who had less experience in exchanges and projects with Erasmus+ . Due to the locations, the exchanges could not take place in a sustainable way (everyone had to travel by plane), but sustainability was an important issue during the exchanges.
