First of all, we want to organise this exchange because we - Overgrenzen vzw. - are an organisation that wants to bring people together to think/work/be critical about war and peace, human rights and humanity. We have also organised seven other exchanges and experienced the energy of such a youth exchange. Also, we've had ESCers for years and we want to involve them in organising other European projects. To share their experiences, but also to learn from others and to develop their own personality. For example, this year's theme (Filter your Film - working with social media today and its influence on our generation and everyday life and producing a film) was chosen by our current volunteers Philina and Pauline. The aims of this project are many. We want to involve teenagers and young adults from all over Europe to bring together as many cultures and opinions as possible. We want to create interaction and communication across all possible borders. However, we also want all participants to enjoy themselves during these twelve days in July. Everyone should have the opportunity to spend an interesting and fun week with people of their own age. By working, discussing, cooking and washing up together, we want to show people that there is a huge diversity in Europe and that everyone has their own background, attitudes and opinions.
