The project aimed to achieve several key objectives, including fostering a deeper appreciation of diversity and inclusion among young people from various backgrounds, prioritizing mental health and well-being, utilizing nature as a tool for holistic health development, and emphasizing the importance of both individual and group social skills. Specifically, the main objectives of the project were to engage young individuals at risk in a program focused on self-growth with therapeutic elements, to enhance social skills among youths through nature-based activities, including elements from adventure therapy—an outdoors-based therapy practice—to cultivate positive self-esteem and internal development, and to strengthen emotional intelligence. Moreover, the project sought to create a supportive and nurturing environment where participants could explore their potential, overcome personal challenges, and build resilience. Through experiential learning and exposure to diverse perspectives, participants were encouraged to develop a greater sense of self-awareness and empathy towards others. Throughout the project, participants were gently challenged to confront personal fears and limitations, allowing them to embrace new experiences within a safe yet unfamiliar environment. Additionally, partner organizations anticipated that participants would encounter cultural diversity, with the project aiming to support and empower young people to transform these differences into strengths through youth work practices.
