With this project we wanted to arrive at concrete plan of action with the Euromet Alliance, an existing international network of youth care organizations, to achieve a more valuable and deep-rooted collaboration. We wanted to give all partners a voice and platform to engage in dialogue and reflection, which we absolutely succeeded in doing. Participants could talk openly and safely about their strengths and weaknesses, expose pitfalls and difficulties, discuss obstacles that differ due to regional, national or international differences or similarities between operations, ensuring a valuable and educational dialogue. Participants learned to think outside existing structures, dared to look at themselves and were able to reflect on perceived thresholds. Each participant then took this backpack to create a filled 'Euromet' backpack from which every organization can enjoy benefits in short and long term. A timeline of projects and activities was drawn, administrative matters were clarified and addressed, the 'code of act' was revised, and everyone is moving in the same direction. The values and goals of the network were defined, the meaning of 'being a member of Euromet' was put on paper. The management of the whole is made transparent and clear, we discuss the communication and distribution of the network, managing future projects and how we can add even more value to the collaboration by facilitating the sharing of good practices and pitfalls. At the end of the project, we came up with a concrete long-term action plan, full of topics that have been elaborated or that still need further development. The 'why' and 'how' were written down in a transparent file, so that the value of Euromet is clear to all partners. How this finds a concrete path to every colleague or young person in the home organizations, the local partners of the organizations and new future partners was also decided. We clearly described what we want to do, who this is intended for, what we want to achieve and how all this should be achieved. The board will continue to work on this and will always contact partners with strengths and talents around certain topics.
