With a focus on the professional development of its members NART has tried to provide training opportunities for them and fill the gaps that the formal system has left. The content of the course – Smart Teachers Play More, gave educators a wide variety of different physical and mindfulness activities, plays and story-telling techniques which can be applied in their everyday work with SEN students. Being a new-comer in Erasmus+ KA1 we wanted to gain experience and afterwards plan in a long run.
The National Association of Resource Teachers in Bulgaria (NART) has over 1100 members who are resource teachers, psychologists, speech therapists and other educational specialists - in schools and kindergartens. Following its objectives to support inclusion of children and youth with special needs NART have offered a mobility training opportunity for its members to upgrade their teaching capacity with innovative pedagogical tools and ideas with European perspective.
