The project aimed to empower senior musicians to achieve digital transformation and remain competitive in the evolving digital music landscape. Under Project Management & Cooperation, we sought to establish effective governance, enable strong partner collaboration, and ensure sound implementation. Through Research & Analysis & Training Programme, we aimed to identify key digital tools and gaps in digital skills, develop an analytical report, and create a tailored training programme for senior musicians and cultural organisations. With Training Bootcamp, Training Center & Dissemination, we aimed to deliver hands-on training to selected senior musicians, establish an open Training Center within the European network of DiPaCre, and promote broad dissemination of the project results to foster long-term digital upskilling in the cultural and creative industries.
Digital Partnerships for Creative Europe Association (DiPaCre) is strongly committed to bridging the technological divide and supporting the cultural and creative industries (CCI) in navigating the rapid digitalisation of their sector. From its founding, the association identified that independent stakeholders in the CCI are increasingly at risk of exclusion due to the complexity of new digital requirements. Issues such as managing digital metadata and complying with European Union directives—particularly the EU Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive (2019/790) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)—are creating significant barriers for these professionals to access the digital supply chain. Senior musicians, in particular, face considerable challenges in adapting to the digital environment. The project directly aligns with DiPaCre’s mission to empower the CCI community by offering free upskilling initiatives and educational resources, thus enabling independent artists to successfully engage with the digital marketplace and sustain their creative careers.
